The Master Degree Course in Plant Biotechnology aims to train a new professional figure with in-depth and cutting-edge knowledge of plants' molecular and cellular aspects, focusing on species of agricultural interest and microorganisms, with a view to their use in the biotechnology sector.

The graduate will acquire the necessary skills for the application of biotechnology to the plant system and to agricultural and agri-food production processes, as well as knowledge related to the use of plants and microorganisms in bioremediation and in the production of metabolites of environmental, industrial, nutraceutical/pharmaceutical interest. The graduate, thanks to the knowledge of the regulations and deontological and bioethical issues concerning the biotechnologies of plant and microbial systems, will possess the tools to evaluate the potential impact of biotechnological products on the environment and human health.
